The Challenge
This craft brewery relied on manual palletizing of 24-pack beer trays at the end of its production line. Limited floor space, frequent product changes, and the absence of dedicated palletizing operators made automation particularly challenging.
The customer needed a compact palletizing solution that could fit within the existing production area while remaining simple enough for brewery staff to operate without robot programming.

The Solution
To address this application, beRobox engineered a dedicated end-of-arm tool specifically for handling 24-pack beer trays.
Unlike corrugated cases, beer trays provide a smaller contact surface while exposing the tops of the cans, creating a unique gripping challenge. The beRobox mechanical engineering team evaluated multiple gripping concepts and tested several prototypes before developing a design that could securely handle the tray without compromising product stability throughout the palletizing process.
The resulting solution combines this custom gripper with the PALTZ.C25 and intuitive STACKiT software, creating a compact palletizing solution purpose-built for craft brewery operations.
