Doubling Throughput Without Sacrificing Collaboration
Combining Zone Scanners' safety and Multipick technology to maximize throughput while maintaining collaborative operation.
The Challenge
This food manufacturer needed to maximize end-of-line throughput while preserving the flexibility and ease of use of collaborative automation.
Traditional collaborative palletizers operate at reduced speeds to comply with collaborative safety requirements, often limiting production capacity. The challenge was to increase throughput without sacrificing the ease of use and operator accessibility that make collaborative palletizing attractive.

Multipick
The Solution
beRobox delivered a PALTZ.CS25 collaborative palletizer.
This solution included:
Zone scanner safety module for dynamic speed monitoring.
Multipick capability for handling two RSC cases in a single robot cycle.
Easy-to-use palletizing software: STACKiT.
By combining dynamic safety with Multipick, the system achieves collaborative operation without the performance limitations typically associated with collaborative palletizers.
Why It Works
Collaborative palletizing is often viewed as a trade-off between safety and productivity.
The PALTZ.CS25 eliminates that compromise. The zone scanner allows the robot to operate at full speed whenever the work area is clear while automatically reducing speed only when an operator enters the safety zone. Combined with Multipick capability, each robot cycle moves two cases instead of one, significantly increasing overall throughput without increasing system complexity.
Results
This application demonstrates the ability to:
Increase collaborative palletizing performance from 6 to 11 cycles per minute using the safety module.
Handle up to 22 cases per minute using Multipick technology.
Maintain collaborative operation while maximizing production throughput.
SAFETY FIRST, BUILT-IN
Every PALTZ is backed by a strict risk assessment, ensuring it's not just productive but fundamentally safe.
This means you can install your PALTZ system and get to work immediately, bypassing complex on-site evaluations for a truly plug-and-play experience.
Custom developments that fall outside of our standard options may require an on-site risk assessment
